How to Change My Email

This guide explains how to update your email address on your Haystack digital business card and how to change the email linked to your account.

Moved jobs, got a new email, or just need an update? Here’s how to change your email in Haystack.

Two Types of Email Changes in Haystack:

  1. Account Email: Changes the email used to sign in to Haystack.

  2. Business Card Email: Updates the email displayed on your digital business card that you share with others.

How to Change Your Account Email (Sign-in Email)

  1. Open the Haystack app on your phone.

  2. Go to Settings (bottom right on iOS, top left on Android).

  3. Tap “Change the email you sign in with”:

    • On iOS: Tap your name at the top.

    • On Android: Scroll to the bottom.

  4. Follow the prompts to update your email.

How to Change the Email on Your Digital Business Card

  1. Open the Haystack app on your phone.

  2. Tap the card you want to update.

  3. Tap the edit icon (top right corner).

  4. Edit the email address field and tap save.

Note: In rare cases, our security algorithm may block an email update. If you see an error message preventing the change, it is likely because there is already a card associated with the correct email address in the app. To resolve this:

  1. Remove the old card with the incorrect email address: Delete the card currently associated with the incorrect email.

  2. Create a new digital business card: Add a new card using the correct email address. During this process, the app will verify your identity to maintain security.
