Tips to improve scanning results

Haystack uses Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to read text from the photos of the business cards you scan. When the image quality is low (due to poor lighting conditions, shadows, or out of focus image), the information may be less accurate.

Tips to improve image quality:

1. Take the photo in a well lit area (or use the flash if the room is dark)

2. Avoid taking images with shadows as much as possible (tilting the camera to create a slight angle normally helps)

3. Keep the card within the orange corner markers (and make sure the preview image looks clear)

Rule of thumb - if you can't read it, the phone can't either.
